I think a US-style executive presidency is too powerful, but the Irish model where you basically take the constitutional monarchy and elect a largely-ceremonial presidential equivalent every so often seems about right.

If Charles continues his present habit of meddling from time to time, I suspect that a lot of people will start finding constitutional monarchy a bit less benign?
