I normally don't have very much time for "Big Issue" vendors, but I was amused by the chap in town today who was inviting us to consider a "Moderately-Sized Issue".
I used to speak to a guy on the bus back to St Neots who used to commute to Cambridge to ask for money. Apparently, there're more hostel places in Bedford, but more people willing to give money in Cambridge (students & tourists, mainly, apparently). The difference was apparently much more than a bus fare. Commuting like I was, and for pretty similar same reasons, really, when it boils down to it.
