Furniture repair

This week I have been doing a fair bit of furniture repair: I've fixed our own bed, mostly fixed Ben's bed (one more piece to go), and fixed the sofa which had been in a state where I mostly couldn't sit on it for most of a year.  All this has made me very happy.  For future reference the parts supplier that has been especially useful has been bedslats.co.uk.

oooooh. (I replaced duff slats with ... planks; maybe I could buy actual slats)

I posted this suspecting that I wasn't the only person who'd had unsatisfying temporary bodges in place due to not having found better options :-)

If the other slats in the same bed are sprung rather than flat, then proper replacements might be a bit more comfortable.

It is fortunately all flat slats; sprung might be a notion but I'm not sure if it'd work.
